I have Loved every part of this Photography class!!!! I have learned so much more than I ever thought I would. I want to invest in a DSLR camera, and become a better photographer, I love traveling, and trying new things so with these skills I learned in this class I can save precious memories forever. I have also learned to look at the world with a different eye, instead of seeing just a branch, I now see a frame that I can take a photo of and frame an object. I want to continue enhancing my skills with Photoshop, and with taking pictures.

Shadows

Out of frame shadow
This photo is of a shadow of my cat. The f-stop is 3.2, the shutter speed is 1/8, and the ISO is 1600. This was taken in my house on 4/26/19
Back-light
This is a photo of my cat, with back-light. The f-stop is 3.2, the shutter speed is 1/8, and the ISO is 1600. This photo was taken outside of my bed room. I chose to take this photo because I thought his outline in front of the light would be really cool to take a photo of.
Light highlight
I know this isn’t a traditional photo of light as a highlight, but i thought what better than having light be the highlight by having it be the focus of the photo as well. The f-stop is 3.2, the shutter speed is 1/20, and the ISO is 1250. I liked how all the circles appeared when I got just the right angle, and I really liked it. This photo was taken in my bedroom.
Defined shadows

Antelope Island

Beach bonfire
This photo was taken of a dead campfire on the beach, this is a short depth of field example the f-stop is 3.2 and the shutter speed is 1/500. Branch on Trail
This photo was taken on a trail a, this is a Short depth of field photo, the f-stop is 3.2, and the shutter speed 1/640. I really liked this photo because it showed a trail in the background but it still shows a lot of attention to detail about the branch in the front. This was taken on 4/5/2019
Boat Dock
This is a photo of the boat dock, this photo is an example of long depth of field, the f-stop is 5.0, and the shutter speed is 1/640. I chose to take this photo with a long depth of field because I thought all of the photo was important and should be in focus. This photo was taken on 4/7/2019
Sail Boat

Stopped water
This photo was taken march 19, 2019, in my parents room. The f-stop is 3.2 and the shutter speed is 3200. I liked this picture because with the fast shutter speed it stopped the water and you could see all of the water drops.

This photo was taken at my house of crayons, the f-stop is 4.5, and the shutter speed is 1/100. I decided to take this picture because I thought it demonstrated different shades of the same color. I tried to use focus as well as lighting to focus on the main point.

By: David Rackham
This photo was taken in my room at my house. The f-stop was 3.2 and the shutter speed is 1/20. I really liked this picture because I thought it would show a interesting subject, and use lighting, as well as focus to make it look better.

Leading lines, and rule of thirds comparison

Photographer: David Rackham
I took this photo at Hobbs pond. It uses the rule of thirds very well, because the main focus is in the upper left third of the photo. It is focused on a branch on a bush and some plans that are growing on it. It draws the attention very well to the focus of the picture.
Photographer: David Rackham
This Photo was taken on the trail around Hobbs pond. It shows leading lines that go down the trail, and this creates depth. They all go towards the middle of the photo, which is down the trail, which draws your attention to that point.

The Incoming Night

This Photo was taken on January 27th, 2019, from my front porch, it is of Christmas lights on a tree with the sun setting in the background. I did not make any changes to this photo, on Photoshop. I took this photo because I thought the sunset looked really nice, and it was pretty.

This Photo was taken by a “Canon PowerShot SX620 HS”. The Exposure time was 1/50 seconds, The F- stop was f/3.2, and the ISO speed was ISO-80. The focal length was 4mm. There was no Flash used to take this Photograph.

I was really pleased with how the Christmas lights stood out in the silhouette of the tree on the sunset. To me this photo conveyed a feeling of longing, because the sun was just below the horizon, and the lights just turned on. It felt like the night hadn’t begun, but the day didn’t want to end.
